Frequently Asked Questions
What is coaching?
Coaching is a conversation with a purpose. It’s a dedicated space — just for you — where you get to slow down from the noise of everyday life and ask yourself the questions that really matter. Not the urgent ones on your to-do list, but the deeper ones: Who do I want to be? What do I truly want? What’s getting in my way?
A coach is not a consultant who tells you what to do, nor a therapist who explores your past. A coach walks alongside you in the present, with full belief in your ability to find your own answers. My role is to ask the right questions, listen deeply, and reflect back what I hear — so you can see yourself, your situation, and your possibilities with greater clarity.
Think of it this way: you already have the wisdom inside you. Coaching simply creates the conditions for it to surface — with the support of someone who is fully present, completely non-judgmental, and genuinely invested in your growth.
Coaching can help you gain clarity on a decision, break through a pattern that’s been holding you back, reconnect with your values, or simply feel less alone in navigating the complexity of life and leadership. Whatever brings you to the conversation – that’s exactly the right place to start.
Who hires a life coach?
People who hire a coach aren’t broken — they’re motivated. They’re people who sense there’s more available to them and want support in reaching it.
The leader who is successful on paper but feels something is missing
The manager stepping into a bigger role and wanting to grow into it with confidence
The professional at a crossroads, unsure which direction to take
The person who gives so much to others and is finally ready to invest in themselves
Anyone who simply wants to live and lead with more intention.
Is coaching a type of therapy?
Not quite – though both are rooted in deep listening and genuine care for the person in front of them. The difference is mostly in direction: therapy tends to look back, exploring past experiences to understand and heal. Coaching looks forward – starting from where you are now and moving toward where you want to be.
Coaching assumes you are whole and capable. It’s not about fixing something that’s broken – it’s about unlocking something that’s already there. That said, the two can complement each other beautifully, and I always encourage anyone working through deep emotional pain to also seek the support of a licensed therapist.
What is the difference between a coach and a consultant?
A consultant brings the answers. A coach helps you find your own.
A consultant is the expert in the room — they diagnose and advise. A coach starts from the belief that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to ask the right questions so the clarity you already have can surface.
A consultant solves the problem in front of you. A coach helps you become the person who can solve any problem ahead of you.
